Scholarship Info

The John Babb Scholarship provides eligible students with a one-time grant of $500 towards the purchase of an Apple or Dell 1:1 laptop bundle. Only recommended 1:1 laptop bundles qualify. The scholarships are awarded based upon demonstrated need and students will be notified if approved. The processing of applications generally takes about 3 weeks.

Please note that not all applicants who meet the eligibility criteria outlined below will receive scholarships. You may also want to explore additional financial aid options available through ASU Student Financial Assistance.

1. Student must be currently enrolled at ASU.
2. Student must have a current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with ASU, a completed financial aid file, and zero (0) Expected Family Contributions (EFC) along with $500 unmet need. If you do not have a FAFSA on file, you may apply at FAFSA's website.
3. Student must purchase a recommended Apple or Dell laptop through ASU 1:1 Mobile Initiative and submit the resulting receipt, along with the completed scholarship application, to the ASU 1:1 Technology Studio located in Computing Commons 105 on the Tempe campus.
